Caterham Bio

A team built from scratch in 2010 starting out as Lotus Racing.  Caterham have always stood out as the 'best of the new teams' and have come the closest to  joining the midfield. Focusing on using experienced drivers such as Heikki Kovalainen and Jarno Trulli, Caterham made the best of the tools available to ensure their team made the grid. In 2014 after four seasons at the back of the grid, original team owner Tony Fernadez announced a sale of the Caterham team had been concluded. Despite the sale the team was able to remain largely unchanged but did result in a change of leadership to ex-F1 driver Christijan Albers.
