Despite a dominant performance from Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, a bad pit-stop call brought in Hamilton in unnecessarily. This blunder handed the win to team-mate Nico Rosberg and second place to Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel.

The jewel in the crown of the Formula One season, Monte Carlo stays in the calendar year on year due to it’s history-steeped circuit. The modern day cars have overgrown the tight, twisting waterfront track, making overtaking very difficult and often dangerous.

While yachts overlook the straights and corners, this Mediterranean track was the site of controversy last year as Rosberg ‘locked up’ in qualifying and then drove to victory in first place.
