An impressive purpose built circuit as the US made it’s bid to get Formula One back onto home soil. With three distinct sections the ‘Circuit of the Americas’ draws inspiration from some of the most famous circuits in the world.

On the grid drivers are faced with a steep climb to turn one before winding left-right-left sections in sector one hark to Silverstone’s own Maggots & Becketts section. A complex series of turns reminiscent of Abu-Dhabi leads into a long sweeping multi apex corner reminiscent of Turn 8 in Istanbul.

Whilst the racing itself has had tough criticism with cars often forced to run single file it’s a true test of the drivers which ultimately forces it’s own entertainment.
