Pre-Race Preview

A hot, muggy circuit, Shanghai was custom built for F1 and the lack of other series racing there makes the track slippery. It has one of the longest straights of the season, with long sweeping corners mixed in with tight corners. This means that a low down force set up and outright speed usually takes the win. Though teams like Red Bull are able to pack on a little more downforce to make up time in the corners.

Last year was another one, two from Mercedes saw Hamilton take his third consecutive win. Otherwise, the race was nothing special.
