The FIA have confirmed the following calendar for 2015 featuring a record breaking 21 races.  The calendar sees the return of Mexico and Korea to the calendar alongside the new additions of Russia and Austria from this season.

It’s not yet clear whether the Korean Grand Prix will be held at it’s original venue in of Mokpo which produced some exciting racing despite a lacklustre setting or whether it will switch to the newly proposed Seoul street circuit.

The French Grand Prix had looked to be on the shortlist for a return to the calendar in 2015 until Bernie Ecclestone ruled it out an an option.

The Indian GP was supposed to return to the calendar after missing the 2014 season due to financial reasons though having lost it’s slot on the calendar this race won’t actually make it back for 2015.

The American GP which had made several attempts to join the calendar in previous years also makes a notable absence from the calendar.
